About Course
Understanding the Oil & Gas Production System introduces learners to the complete production flow path from the reservoir and wellhead through flowlines, manifolds and separation, and onward to oil, gas and produced-water handling systems. The course explains how fluids move through the production system, how each major item of equipment contributes to controlling, routing, separating and treating the produced stream, and why understanding the full fluid path is essential for safe and effective operations.
Learners will explore the role of the wellhead and Christmas tree, flowlines, production manifolds, three-phase separators, oil treatment, gas compression and treatment, produced-water handling, and basic control, alarm and shutdown functions. The course is designed as an introductory microlearning module for learners who want to build a clear foundation in oil and gas production systems before progressing to more detailed technical topics.
