Well Barriers

Well Barriers introduces the fundamental principles used to prevent uncontrolled flow of formation fluids throughout the well lifecycle. The course explains the purpose of well barriers, primary and secondary barrier philosophy, common barrier elements, verification principles, and the importance of maintaining well integrity during drilling, completion, production, intervention and abandonment activities.

Learners will gain a practical understanding of how barrier elements work together to form a well barrier envelope and why barrier status must be clearly understood before performing well operations.
