Lifting Operations: Crane, Rigger and Banksman Essentials introduces the fundamental principles required for safe lifting activities in industrial and oil & gas environments.
The course explains the roles and responsibilities of the crane operator, rigger and banksman/signaller, and introduces essential concepts such as lift planning, load assessment, lifting accessories, communication, exclusion zones, equipment checks and basic lifting hazards.
Learners will understand how the lifting team works together, why clear communication and defined responsibilities are essential, and how unsafe conditions can lead to dropped objects, equipment damage and serious injury.
This course provides introductory awareness only. Actual lifting operations must always follow approved site procedures, lift plans, equipment limitations and the instructions of competent lifting personnel.
